And I realized that I have an annoying little problem: I haven&#8217;t been doing professional (meaning, paid) translation work for quite a few years, and this does not look good on a CV. Pretty stupid of me, since I regularly use at least three (and no, I will not play the trick to count &#8220;na\u0161ki&#8221; as three: politics is one thing, professional work is another) of my languages every day. I AM a professional translator, and a damn good one for the simple reason that I am a damn good writer, but I work for myself.<\/p>\n<p>Then it occurred to me to rely on my other profession &#8211; journalism &#8211; and do something more interesting than trying to patch up the hole in my CV: making my own showcase. Every day I process a fairly impressive amount of materials for my own needs: all sorts of articles and specialist texts that are of interest or use to me. Now, I will translate some of them here, have fun, practice, do something useful for the larger public \ud83d\ude09 and show off my skills as a translator.
